Tortuguero is on a coastal island and is only accessible by boat or airplane. You can take public transport in
buses and boats all the way to our private dock on the river or you can drive a rental car to two recommended points
(where there is safe parking) where you can meet up with the boats that will bring you here. If you fly here we can arrange
for one of the local water taxis to pick you up at the Tortuguero airport and bring you to our dock.
There are a few companies that offer semi-private transport from San Jose, La Fortuna, Moin (Limon) and the southern
Caribbean coast. If you are coming from beyond these points you will need to get to them first.
